Getting access to FLEX

FLEX doesn't gate access the way FORGE or LOOP do. Sign in through Nexus One and you're in — there's no AD group and no Credentials grant to request for the wage tables, Hours Review, or the Timecard Tool.

What "any signed-in user" includes

Once you're in, you can create and edit jobs, pay classes, and wage rates on the Jobs & Rates page, and use Hours Review and the Timecard Tool. Nothing about editing the wage tables is locked down further — every change is simply recorded against your username in FLEX's own change history (see Change History).

The one exception: Admin

The Admin area (/admin, currently just Companies) is limited to people holding the Admin role on FLEX in Nexus One's Credentials area. FLEX keeps no admin list of its own — the role travels in the shared SSO cookie, so there's one place to grant it and one place to revoke it. It takes effect on your next sign-in. Hitting /admin without that role shows an "Admins Only" page rather than letting you through; hiding the Admin button in the nav is just cosmetic.

Not yet on the real server

FLEX is currently marked planned in Nexus One — it's been built and is scoped for port 8019, but it hasn't been deployed yet. Once it goes live, this access model (open editing, admin-gated Companies) is what will be in effect from day one.
