Bulk-loading wage tables with CSV import/export
Jobs & Rates has an Import & export panel for loading or pulling the whole wage table at once instead of entering rows by hand.
Columns
The format is: Company, Job_Number, Job_Name, State, County,
Determination, Pay_Class, Pay_Class_Name, Locality,
Effective_Date, Base_Rate, Fringe_Rate, Notes. Use Download blank
template for a worked example row with the exact headers — delete the
example row before importing. Effective_Date accepts 2026-08-13 or
8/13/2026. Leave Locality blank unless a job needs a different rate in a
specific county.
Importing
Choose your file under Wage table CSV and hit Import. Matching is by
Job_Number and Pay_Class (case-insensitive), not by any internal ID.
Leave Create jobs and pay classes that don't exist yet checked (on by
default) so a spreadsheet listing a new job or classification creates it
automatically; untick it to make the import fail on anything not already
set up.
A row whose (job, pay class, locality, effective date) already exists is
skipped, not overwritten — changing a published rate is meant to be a
deliberate edit on the job's page, so the change history shows who did it.
A bad row (missing Job_Number or Pay_Class, an unparseable date or rate)
is reported by line number, and the rest of the file still loads. The
confirmation message tells you how many rates were added, how many
jobs/pay classes were created, and how many rows were skipped as
duplicates.
Exporting
Export all wage tables downloads everything; if Jobs & Rates is filtered to one company, the export button switches to exporting just that company. A single job's page has its own Export this job button for just its rates.
