Getting access to SURGE
Unlike LOOP or PULSE, SURGE doesn't use an AD group at all. Everyone who signs in through Nexus One is authenticated, but SURGE separately decides who's authorized to actually use it.
How access works
- An administrator adds a row for you in SURGE's own Admin > Security
page, using your AD username (e.g.
jsmith, not your email address). - That row grants you specific Company Codes — you'll only see and edit the COs you've been given, not the full list.
- Admin users see and edit every Company Code automatically.
If you're signed in but SURGE says you don't have an account
You authenticated fine through Nexus One, but there's no row for your username in SURGE's Admin > Security yet — ask an administrator to add you there.
If you're missing a specific Company Code
Ask an administrator to add that CO to your account under Admin > Security — no need to be re-added entirely, just the missing CO.
