Why is this month grayed out and I can't type in it?

Once the Forecast Version you're viewing has closed a given month, that month's Rev/Cost/Hrs stop being forecast input and switch to showing the actual figures instead — and actuals are read-only.

How it works

• Forecast Versions run CY01FCST through CY12FCST, one per calendar month being closed.
• As a version closes months, Revenue and Cost for those months are pulled live from FC_vw_Actuals instead of whatever was forecast — you'll see the real actual number, not your typed-in estimate.
• Hrs has no real "actuals" source, so a locked month there just freezes whatever was last saved rather than replacing it with a live number.
• Locked cells render differently (grayed/read-only style) so they're visually distinct from cells you can still edit.

This is by design, not a bug

The whole point is that once a month is actually closed, you shouldn't be able to overwrite the real result with a forecast guess. If a month you expect to still be open is locked, check which Forecast Version you're viewing — you may be looking at a version that's further along than you think.

If a version is locked for a different reason

An admin can also lock an entire Forecast Version read-only for everyone via the Admin page, independent of the normal actuals-closing logic. If every month on a version looks locked, that's likely what happened — ask an admin.
