Pasting from Excel into the forecast grid
You can copy a range of cells straight out of Excel and paste it into SURGE's grid — you don't need to click into every cell one at a time.
How it works
- Copy a range of cells in Excel (a row, a column, or a rectangular block).
- Click the top-left cell in SURGE where you want the paste to start.
- Paste (Ctrl+V) — the values fill right and down from that cell, matching the shape of what you copied.
What gets skipped
If the range you're pasting into includes a cell that's locked (an actual, or a read-only calculated field like GP/GP% on a POC contract), that specific cell is silently skipped — the rest of the paste still goes through around it. This is intentional: a big paste across several months shouldn't fail outright just because one of those months happens to be locked.
If nothing seems to have pasted
Check whether every cell in that range was locked (e.g. you pasted into a fully-closed Forecast Version, or a run of GP%-calculated cells on a POC contract with Input Mode set to Enter Revenue). If so, none of it will show because none of it was writable — try a version/month that's still open.
